Fast File Uploads and Downloads
Working with the File Manager feels like working with your personal computer. The built-in drag & drop functionality will permit you to easily move files between your desktop computer and the web server. Just select the file that you would like to upload from your PC and then drag it over to your browser. The same goes for downloading a file from the File Manager to your hard drive. Moreover, you can download files and even folders to your computer by clicking the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager GUI, you can create a new file or folder with just one single click of the mouse. All action buttons are conveniently located above the file/folder list and you can modify your files without difficulty. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to a different folder, examine the contents of a file or change its permissions, delete a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager GUI, you will be able to compress and unpack all types of files. It does work amazingly fast - simply select the files you would like to compress and click the Compress button. You can even select the archive type (.rar, .zip, and so on). It is just as easy to extract the contents of an archive to a selected directory.
File Editors
With the File Manager, you actually do not need any third-party software tools in order to update your files. There is an image viewer, which allows you to explore the contents of your image files to get a clue about how the images will in fact show up on your site. Furthermore, you will find an array of in-built file editors, which will grant you complete control over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are designed for more advanced individuals, whereas the WYSIWYG editor (where you can see all code changes in real time) is also suitable for technically inexperienced users.
